BLUNT OBJECTS (‘BLUNT OBJECTS’, ’we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ ‘I’) is a trading name for UK-based artist-maker Carolyn Thompson under which she designs, creates and sells sustainably made, one-of-a-kind, hand-stitched quilts and other related items.
Use of Website
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its functionality or attempt unauthorised access to any part of it. You may not use our products for any illegal, harmful, malicious or unauthorised purpose. All content, including images and product descriptions, is owned by BLUNT OBJECTS and may not be copied or reproduced without prior written permission.

BLUNT OBJECTS reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. All quilts sold through this website and BLUNT OBJECTS wider services are one-of-a-kind handmade items created using repurposed fabric and natural materials. Variations in colour, texture, stitching or fabric composition are to be expected and form part of the product’s unique character. BLUNT OBJECTS aims to describe and photograph products as accurately as possible, but colours and textures may vary depending on your individual screen settings. BLUNT OBJECTS reserves the right to limit the sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction and may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any product or service that we offer and reserve the right to discontinue any product or service at any time.
Accuracy of Billing and Account Information
BLUNT OBJECTS reserves the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgement, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made from BLUNT OBJECTS and this website. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
Pricing and Payment
All prices on this website are listed in GBP (£). Prices may change at any time, but any changes will not affect orders already placed.
Payment is required at checkout and all products remain the property of BLUNT OBJECTS until full payment has cleared. Your order is confirmed once dispatched. Payment is processed securely via Squarespace and its approved payment providers (e.g. Stripe and PayPal). Stripe is a trusted third-party gateway with SSL encryption. BLUNT OBJECTS does not store your card information. For further information please refer to your payment provider’s terms and conditions.
BLUNT OBJECTS reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue the purchasing and payment service on this website, or any part thereof, without notice at any time and is not liable to you or any third-party for doing so.
Order Process
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been placed. Acceptance of your order occurs when we dispatch your item(s). If a product is unavailable or an error occurs, we reserve the right to cancel the order and will issue a full refund. As items are one-of-a-kind, once sold they cannot be reordered.
Care Instructions and Use
Each BLUNT OBJECTS product is dispatched with individual care instructions. These instructions can also be found alongside the product descriptions on this website and on theTLC page. We are not responsible or liable for any damage caused to products by failure to follow these instructions.
Commissions
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for any commission offered before work begins. An estimated delivery timescale will be given at this point. We will keep you updated as to any changes to this timeline as your commission progresses. The final 50% payment is due on completion of the commission before delivery.
Please note that as commissions are made to order, any payments made are non-refundable. If you choose not to complete the purchase of your commission on completion, the deposit will not be returned, and we retain the right to sell the commissioned work to any other interested party.
Intellectual Property
All designs, photographs, text, branding and content on the site are the intellectual property of BLUNT OBJECTS. You may not reproduce, copy or use them without prior written permission.
Privacy & Personal Information

Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or purchase of any goods, losses of profits of business or damage caused by misuse or improper care of products. We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our services or website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the product. Nothing in the Terms limits your statutory rights.
Entire Agreement
The failure of BLUNT OBJECTS to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
